CIII-2 Launches New Partnership with PAHO
On October 7-8, 2009, a delegation from Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador was invited by CIII-2 to attend the meetings of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) in Halifax as part of a new partnership between CIII-2 and the Pan American Health Organization’s (PAHO) ProVac Initiative. This new CIII-PAHO partnership aims to support the countries of the Americas in strengthening the capacity of their National Immunization Committees in making evidence-based decisions.
This collaboration provided the delegation with the opportunity to observe the proceedings of NACI, to appreciate debate and discussion mechanisms different from their own, and to network with Canada’s top experts in immunization.
