Opportunities
CIII-3 welcomes applications from public health-related professionals with extensive experience for the following potential assignments:
- Three-month assignments to assist with polio eradication, measles mortality reduction and/or the strengthening of routine immunization services in polio-endemic or at risk countries in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) Program. Recruitment is ongoing but missions usually start in January, May and September.
- Three-month assignments to assist WHO, PAHO and UNICEF with specific immunization-related needs. Recruitment is ongoing.
General Criteria for Applicants
The criteria for applicants to CIII-3 technical consultancy positions include:- A graduate degree in public health, epidemiology, data management or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or 10 years relevant work experience with under-graduate degree or diploma (relevant work experience includes public health program implementation, public health surveillance, epidemiology (outbreak investigation or field surveys), and planning, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating mass immunization programs);
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Ability to work in difficult conditions and flexibility to adapt to constantly changing circumstances;
- Intercultural experience;
- Ability to speak French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or other languages is an asset.
